Columbia Public Schools Calendar 2026-2027 Dates

The Columbia Public Schools Calendar will start for all students on Tuesday, August 19, 2026. Students will get a winter break from 22 December 2025 to January 2, 2027, and classes will resume on Monday, January 5. Spring break is planned from 23 March to 27 March 2027. The last day of school for students will be Thursday, May 21, 2027, and it will be half a day.

  • Incidentally, the schedule of various high schools may be slightly different (block vs. traditional), and the time per period can vary.
  • The normal bell schedule is normally changed to accommodate the Early Release days, Late Start days, and assembly days. Those modifications are unfamiliar without the published schedule.
  • In high schools, lunch times are probably staggered (there may be different periods that have lunch in them). This is common.
  • The district calendar displays the days of early release and the days of teacher collaboration – on these days, the hours during which the students are to attend are reduced.
